July 25, 2006 - The Minneapolis EMS was busy serving food and
refreshments at this year's county fair in an effort to raise money needed to
purchase a battery powered cot. The cot allows two technicians the ability
to move and transport a patient up to 700lbs. with minimal assistance. The
manual cots currently used require assistance by at least one additional
technician if the patient is above average weight. This requires more man
resources and elevates the risk of injury to the responding crew.

refreshments to fair attendees.

which a patient can be mobilized with the use of a power cot.
